SKILL TRAINING EO 14035 COMPLIANT
For individuals who are formal or informal leaders who are motivated to impact DEIA in their organization
EO 14035 mandates DEIA focus areas for government agencies.
One specific area stands out as an essential foundation for
sustaining result focused DEIA work:
Identify barriers to employment, promotion, or professional
development faced by employees who are members of underserved
communities
In addition to identifying barriers, graduates of The Small World
Group’s New IQ certification program are prepared to enhance the
latent potential of DEIA within their organizations and/or teams
through increased employment engagement and team
performance.
To support and sustain graduates’ efforts after the program, each
session will create, enable, and empower peer connections. We do
this by leveraging the power of inclusive networks to drive positive
change. To sustain the momentum and drive the lessons learned
into day-day work behaviors, each certificate attendee will get 12-
month 24/7 access to the Small World Executive Order Application.
The Small World Executive Order Application is specifically designed
to ensure progress is measured, monitored, and maximized for up
to twelve months after participant graduation. This Enterprise
Social Network (ESN) Application is the world’s only DEI ESN tool
and was designed specifically to go beyond checking boxes to
empowering behaviors!

SMALL WORLD CERTIFICATES WILL ENSURE
EXECUTIVE ORDER COMPLIANCE THROUGH:
Dr. J. Bruce Stewart, founder and CEO of Small World Solutions, is one of the leading thought leaders in the field of inclusive diversity. Formerly acting director in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Office of Personnel Management (OPM), J. Bruce was the chief architect in the creation of the New Inclusion Quotient (IQ) and the associated government research on implicit bias. The New IQ—a new way of thinking about and measuring inclusive diversity—is founded upon inclusivity and is associated with research conducted around interpersonal intelligence: Some people are smarter than others in helping their respective teams become smarter. According to Bruce, this inclusive intelligence is teachable, learnable, and repeatable and he has led the way in advocating this new kind of intelligence.
He is author of a book on leadership diversity titled, “Cultural Leadership: The New Chemistry of Leading Differently,” and another to be published later this year, “The Small World Difference: How the Hidden Patterns of Small World Networks Can Create a World of Togetherness.”
Dr. J. Bruce Stewart has a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Friends University. He has a PhD in Law and Policy from Northeastern University and serves as an Adjunct Professor at American University in the KEY Leadership Program.
The participants of this foundational certification course will understand the principles
of a healthy culture and the important roles diversity and inclusivity play according to
the latest in science and measurable data outcomes. They will increase their capacity
as inclusive leaders. It provides:
• A framework to understand how to recognize a healthy organizational culture
• How to link your measures of success for your organization
• The current science related to diversity and inclusivity and how they might
affect your organization. We will address issues such as stereotypes,
prejudices, and teamwork across issues of age, gender, race and ethnicity.
• Specific tools to proactively support behaviors that drive improvement in:
o Demonstrable Inclusive Behavior
o Improved Employee Engagement
o Managing the risks of Attrition and Retention
o Solving Hybrid Workspace Decisions
• Go beyond concept and awareness to action
• Activate the power of individuals as change agents
• Explore how small acts of courage and inclusion make a difference
• Aligning individuals, words, and action can catalyze change
The New IQ is defined by the practice of five behaviors: Fair, Open,
Cooperative, Supportive, Empowering (FOCSE). By intentionally cultivating
these five behaviors, they become leadership habits. These leadership
habits, in turn, are the essential building blocks of an inclusive work
environment. Leaders who practice become inclusive leaders whose
behavior improves the inclusive intelligence of organizational members
as well as organizational teams
When you complete the requirements of the course, and a capstone project, you’ll earn a Certificate you can share with your government agency, professional networks, potential employers.
Participants who wish to audit the course without completion of a capstone project may also enroll, but will not receive a certification.
Note: A New IQ Certification is required to apply to the Game Changers program.
